The James River Master’s Commission was launched at James River Assembly in the fall of 2000 under the direction of Scott Obremski. Since that time, we have graduated over 180 students. We currently have three full time staff members as well as two interns. Check out the James River Assembly website to find out more details about our home church.

Scott Obremski
Director
Scott grew up in Detroit, MI, before moving to Springfield in 1996 to attend Central Bible College. During college, Scott was heavily involved as a youth leader at Realife, JRA’s student ministry. After graduating from CBC, Scott was brought on staff at James River, where he launched the James River Master’s Commission in the fall of 2000. Since then, he’s had the privilege of leading the program year after year, seeing students grow and move on to impact their world for Christ. Scott is a gifted communicator who loves discipling young people. He is passionate about bringing people on a journey where they can grow in their walk with God and develop their leadership ability.
Hailey Black
Hailey is originally from Memphis, TN, but moved to Springfield to attend Central Bible College. Throughout college, Hailey was very involved as a youth leader at JRA. After graduating, she played a critical role in getting JRMC off the ground and has helped lead the program ever since. Hailey oversees many of the administrative details of the program, as well as girls discipleship. She loves to see the change that God can bring to a life that is fully committed to Him. Her husband Jeremy is a JRMC Alumni and is also heavily involved in the ministry of JRA.
Chris Parsons
Chris is the Ministry Coordinator of the James River Master's Commission. Chris grew up in Shawnee, Kansas and attended JRMC as a first year student in the fall of 2003. After completing two years of JRMC, Chris moved back to the Kansas City area to continue his education and work in the landscaping industry. In the Fall of 2006, Chris was hired onto the JRMC team full time to coordinate all of the ministry and missions trips. Chris loves camping, playing sports and anything outdoors.
Caley Wharton
Caley grew up in the Kansas City, MO area and attended JRMC as a first year student in the fall of 2005. After attending JRMC for 2 years as a student, Caley was asked to do an internship with JRMC in the fall of 2007. Caley oversees much of the administration of the program as well she assists with 1st and 2nd year student discipleship. Caley enjoys cooking, reading and hanging out with friends. She loves to watch the students grow in their understanding of who God is and to see how that knowledge changes their lives for eternity.

JRMC is a ministry of James River Assembly, a thriving local church with over 8,000 in weekly attendance located in Ozark, Missouri. Through innovative programs for children and youth and a thorough and effective ministry to adults, James River is a great place for a Master's Commission program to thrive.
